• What is commercial photography? - commercial photography is the use of photography which allows business, freelancers and various other platforms to promote or sell a product, a service or an individual. There are many forms of commercial photography but they all contain differences within style and characteristics.

• Fashion photography - Fashion photography is photography which is completely devoted to clothing items,. Fashion photography is mostly used for advertisement and fashion magazines (eg; Vanity fair, CQ, Vogue and Elle)  Fashion photography has its own commercial easthetic because it improves the visual quality of the clothes by adding picturesque locations, Models, or the use of accessories. Fashion shoots require large amount of production such as; Eating, Lighting, Makeup and Transportation for locations. Well made fashion photography consists of a concept which creates a narrative of sorts, it needs originality and a very good artistic understanding between the crew who perform on the shoots. Practitioners in this style of photography have shaped the industry in a way that has allowed artists to express fashion in all types of ways. Helmut Newton was a photographer who reinvented the fashion industry by the use of the female form. Newton was one of the first fashion photographers to make clothes look erotic in order to add more appeal. Newtons main traits to his photographer consisted of themes like Power, Luxury and Money, Newton created his own aesthetic within the photography industry by creating humorous and erotic images Women dominated the style of his photography with highlighted in sensual and provocative models also fetish objects thatnonetheless diffused an air of severity.  Irving Penn was another practioner who changed the photography industry. Irving Penn was a photographer who mainly worked for vogue doing 165 covers from 1943-2009- more than any other photographer. Irving was considered to be a master of his craft because he created images which would be able to involve models and objects in a way that presented them both stylishly. Vogue described the Penn's ability to take photos as 'he had the rare ability to capture the spirit of things in a graphic way' Penn managed to produce shoots which created amazing detail in emotion in just one frame. I find that the traits and chracteristics fashion photographers is very impressive and intriguing because it's juts the same as any other type of photography but the soul purpose of fashion photography is too promote clothes but it has to be done right in order to make the photos interesting rather than just be a typical advertisement. I didn't really feel like I could take any elements from fashion photography because it doesn't really represent the photos I'm taking but there are actually a few elements that I can use to do with lighting and objects which I feel will improve my images.

• Music Photography -Music Photographers shoot live concerts, promo photos and portraits of Musicians for use by media outlets or for the artists personally. Music photographers usually edit their own photos aswell. Even though most Venus have some use their own Photographers, the majority are freelancers who have been hired by the venue, band, or media outlet, or who will add their work around to the media to create a portfolio. Media photographers work can be found in various media platforms more consistently social media (Instagram, Twitter, Flickr and facebook) Magazines (Vogue, CQ, Kerrang, Rolling Stone, NME) and Also the use of single/album covers.
